The New Gramercy Surgery Center was founded in 2006, to provide surgeons with friendly, high-quality, and professional setting to treat their patients. Gramercy Surgery Center is a fully licensed Article 28 center. Gramercy Surgery Center is also Medicare-certified which means we have to abide to not only the state guidelines but also the federal regulations governing free-standing surgery centers.

Since the grand opening of our new facility on February 6, 2007, we have had a very exciting year in expanding our various programs and are proud to be the first Ambulatory Surgery Center in New York State performing Brachytherapy. Throughout our tenure we have brought on a number of new surgeons and have purchased a number of new devices so that the needs of our surgeons are met. Our success is based on the one imperative that we have always practiced, "Listen to what the doctors’ need and provide them with it so they can do their cases." A simple philosophy in words, but in practice, much harder to achieve in a hospital-like environment. We, at Gramercy Surgery Center, pride ourselves on meeting this self-imposed goal on a daily basis.

Since our opening we continue to grow and are becoming the most comprehensive Surgery Center in the Tri-State area. With programs in Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Podiatry, and Urology.

Our facilities offer patients and their families a comfortable, private, and friendly environment, quite opposite to the disturbing emergency and trauma situations that patients might encounter in a hospital environment, all while providing the highest quality of care in all aspects of the surgical experience.

Our highly trained and caring staff will attend to the individual needs of each patient. Our staff is fluent in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, French and Italian. Therefore, we are able to provide language services, should they be needed. For additional convenience, pre-operative work, such as medical clearance can be preformed at our facility, depending on the needs of the patient and surgeon. We are able to provide lab work, EKG's should they be needed.

We verify all insurance prior to surgery to make sure the patient has coverage, and, we play an important role in holding down your healthcare cost.
